9ice set for comeback with four singles and videos

Popular singer, Abolore 9ice Akande has been on a hiatus from music preparing new works which he would be releasing soon. We gather that he would releasing four brand new singles and four brand new videos in a matter of days.

The titles of the new singles are ‘Get Into It’, ‘Ike Kan’, ‘Obawon’ and ‘I Dare You’. He has shot videos for ‘Get Into It’ and ‘Obawon’. From his latest album, Bashorun Gaa, the talented singer has shot videos for two songs, ‘Attitude’ and ’3310′

The Gbamu Gbamu crooner would also be releasing another double album titled CNN and GRA by March, 2013.

As expected,  reviews for D’Prince’s new album – Frenzy has been turning out, with writer at NET bashing the work by the Mavin artiste. The artiste reacted to the review insisting the online platform has been paid to critique his work. The review titled : ‘D’Prince’s ‘Frenzy’ Is Flashy But Tiring’ read ‘Truth is, if D’Prince hadn’t stretched his album to over an hour long, it would’ve been better, especially with most of the songs in the first half of Frenzy. Omoba simply doesn’t have what it takes to keep you interested for very long. The production isn’t exactly varied, leaning towards the Electro pop sound.’

Nigeria rated 2nd most corrupt nation in the world

Another heavy knock has come on Nigerian government as the newest rating on corruption indicates that the acclaimed giant of the Africa is the second most corrupt nation in the world.

The rating according to a Gallup poll shows that the rate of corruption in the country is getting out of hand.

Gallup, in its first-ever report on “Global States of Mind: New Metrics for World Leaders,” said 94 percent of Nigerians believe there is prevalent corruption in government.

The poll reveals that in the world, only Kenyans believe their government is more corrupt. About 96 percent of Kenyans said there is widespread corruption in their government while only five percent of Singaporeans said their government is corrupt.

Chris Brown Denies Alleged Confrontation With Jay Z, Over Rihanna.

In the wake of his recent night club brawl with Young Money Rapper-Singer, Drake, which transpired to both parties suing another, controversial singer Chris Brown has denied the rumour of an alleged confrontation with Jay Z .

In an interview with the Bigboy’s Neighbourhood in California the Singer maintained that his relationship with the Roc-a-Fella boss is still intact while also describing it as; “cordial”.

When asked about his on-going law-suit with Drake, he was reticent as he refused to open-up on it citing that the case is still a legal issue as an excuse for it, also maintaining that all he does now his focus on making music .

“The only reason I can’t talk about [the Drake situation] is because we’re dealing with legal stuff. You know I’m trying to get paid and not trying to give out no information. We don’t talk about other guys. We just focus on music.” 

While the interviewer asked if he hit Drake or if Drake him, Brown gave an equivocal response by saying he boxes.

“Nah. It’s none of that. I’m more reserved and I box…[Laughing] You know exactly what that means.”

It’s taken a while but she finally gave it up and who got her to do so? None other than another controversial person - Sudanese-Egyptian author and poet or better still self-styled home wrecker Kola Boof!

Now we know the thought of putting Tonto Dike and Kola Boof in the same sentence alone can be disastrous but things didn’t turn out that bad between them as they exchanged pleasantries on social network Twitter.

And when Boof asked Tonto what the meaning of ‘Poko’ was, initially assuming it was a movie, Tonto responded, explaining it is the name of her alter-ego.

Chris Okotie has dispelled the on-going rumours suggesting he’s planning to walk down the aisle again.

Speaking through a Household of God executive, Okotie says the stories are ‘baseless, totally false and ridiculous’.

‘The public is hereby informed that Rev. Okotie never announced any plans to remarry this December or at any future date’, Ladi Ayodeji, a rep who works in the church’s Media and Communications Department said in a statement.

‘He remains committed to his pledge not to speak on his marriage. Any story in this regard should therefore be seen as the handiwork of mischief makers’, he added.

2face storms movie set to surprise Annie Macaulay with birthday cakes

On Tuesday, November 13, 2012 Annie Macaulay-Idibia added another year.

The model-actress was busy on a movie set but not too busy to welcome her heartthrob and hubby 2face Idibia on set to cut her birthday cakes.

The words on one of the cakes read ‘Happy birthday smallie, Love you till I die‘. Another read ‘Happy Birthday my Pookucukupuku baby‘.

In September, Annie put together a birthday party for 2face who turned 37.

The couple got married in May 2012 after dating off-and-on for 12 years.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated Venezuela 3-1 in a rather ill-tempered friendly match, that was played in Miami, US.

The first half of the match ended goalless, as both sides struggled to impose themselves on each other. Although Nigeria had plenty of possession, it was the South Americans who created the better scoring chances.

Four minutes into the second half, Brown Ideye put the Nigerians ahead, after Kwambe bombed down the right and delivered a low cross for him to tap in.
