The tragedy occurred at about
12.35pm today. The albino woman was killed in the accident.The strong
collision threw the woman against the culvert, instantly breaking her
right leg and causing a crack on her skull, she died some thirty minutes
later according to the police.The driver has been apprehended and
detained at the Alausa Police Station

It was learnt that it is a tradition in the 65-year-old institution for students to pour water on their friends on their birthdays as part of the celebration.
It was also gathered that friends of Omodesola, a first year National Diploma student of Business Administration continued in the tradition and poured water on her while she was coming down the stairs at the PGD hostel.
However, one of them got hold of a keg of corrosive chemical kept in her hostel room, which she mistook for water, and poured it on Omodesola.

Patience Jonathan hospitalized in Germany ?
Nigeria's First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, has been in a hospital in Germany in the last four days, Abuja State House sources have told SaharaReporters, undergoing treatment for food poisoning.
The sources say Mrs. Jonathan, who is also a Permanent Secretary in the Bayelsa State civil service, was airlifted to the hospital by an air ambulance in midweek under emergency medical conditions.

Kim Kardashian denied star on Hollywood Walk Of Fame
Kim Kardashian has been denied a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, it has been reported.
The reality TV star, who is currently dating rapper Kanye West, recently admitted that she aimed to get her own star on the historic Los Angeles site.
However, a representative of the chamber of commerce has apparently since informed Kardashian that she is not eligible to petition for the honour.
They explained: “Part of criteria in being honoured is receiving awards such as Emmys, SAG Awards, Oscars, etc. in the category of television, live-stage performance or motion pictures. They have to have a career in the business of acting for five years or more.”
If Kardashian were to be granted permission for a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, she would be honoured alongside stars including Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe, David Bowie and Nicole Kidman.
Kardashian is yet to comment on the snub.

Trust Nigerians, a few accusing fingers were pointed in Kenny Saint Best’s direction. The gospel singer, had earlier this week, called on Wande Coal and Don Jazzy to limit the level of nudity in their videos. And a few days later, ‘Go Low’, Coal’s new video has been banned.

Man shoots son dead in failed “bulletproof” charm test in Benue state
In a bid to test the potency of his newly acquired bulletproof “juju”, a man, Ornguga Adega, of Agbatse village in Kwande local government area of Benue State, shot his only son dead while conducting a gunshot test on the boy.
The suspect, who was immediately apprehended by men of the Benue State Police Command, is currently facing trial at a Makurdi Chief Magistrate Court.According to the First Information Report (FIR) by the police, the suspect and father of the ten-year-old had in August 2012 bought some charm from a native doctor with the belief that it was potent enough to prevent the penetration of bullets into his body.
He was said to have rubbed his “bulletproof” cream on the body of his son in order to verify its efficacy and potency in line with the instructions of the native doctor from whom he bought the charm.

A 33-year-old woman, Mrs Grace Adegboyega, told an Agege Grade A Customary Court that her husband, Mr Sunday Adegboyega, attempted to kill her by putting a fetish substance into her drink and started telling people she had passed on. The plaintiff added that she was shocked when her husband’s lover came home to sympathize with Sunday over the ‘demise of his wife.’ She said that when she asked about the woman who died, she bluntly responded that Sunday told her that his wife ( Grace ) died few days ago.
“Also while l was heavily pregnant, he poured kerosene into my food. I perceived the odour from the food l served my daughter and l went wild with him for trying to poison me.”
Grace said that shortly after the incident, the husband decided to stay away from home, claiming he was busy working in a factory, not knowing that he had impregnated another woman whom he was staying with. She therefore urged the court to dissolve the marriage and grant her custody of the children as she didn`t want to die young.
