While Rihanna recently announced that she was ready to release another album, she has been less vocal about her relationship status with Chris Brown.

However, her father has not only given his blessing for them to be together, but he has also said he wants them to get married.

Rihanna, 24, has reportedly reconciled with ex boyfriend Chris, even though he is still on probation for attacking her in February 2009.

Her father Ronald Fenty does not hold any grudges against Brown, 23, and has gone as far to say that he hopes they will tie the knot at some point in the future.

Speaking to Life & Style magazine he said: ‘Whatever makes her happy. I hope one day she will get married. Everyone adores Chris, he’s a super guy.

On Monday 15th – Tuesday 16th October 2012, Nollywood star, Genevieve Nnaji and Mavin Records crew, Don Jazzy, Dr Sid and Tiwa Savage, put together relief supplies and personally visited refugee camps located in Asaba, Delta State to show both physical and moral support to the residents affected by the flooding in the environment.

According to BN News’ findings, the flood, currently ravaging several settlements across the nation has displaced over 100,000 families, leaving several tens of thousand people homeless and without any business to keep them afloat.

Genevieve, Tiwa, Don Jazzy and Dr Sid visited Asaba to distribute relief supplies, as well as use their celebrity influence to help raise awareness on this ongoing natural disaster via the Reach Out Initiative.

The Reach Out Initiative, a programme started by the superstars themselves, will be utilized to get a lot more people involved both within and outside the country in donating help, either through relief supplies or financial donations.

Speaking to BellaNaija, Nollywood actress, Genevieve said “This is just the beginning, as our country has never experienced anything like this. The government is doing the best they can, but we as citizens, can also partake in helping the situation in the best way we can. The plan is to get more people involved, and visit more relief camps in the affected states.”

15 Nigerian pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia

One of the pilgrims from Lagos State performing this year’s holy pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia has died in Mekkah, just as the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) said the country has lost 14 other pilgrims.

The Lagos pilgrim died, Thursday, after he took ill, was attended to by the medical team of the state’s pilgrim board, and then rushed to the hospital.
At the time of filling this report, the cause of the death could not be ascertained as the head of the Lagos medical team, Dr. Akerele refused to give details.

NAHCON’s Commissioner in Charge of Information and Research, Dr. Okenwa Saleh told newsmen in at the commission’s headquarters that 14 pilgrims from Nigeria had died in the course of this year’s hajj.

Okenwa said nine died in Medina, while the remaining six lost their lives in Mekkah.

The dead He said: “Knowing well that Allah is the giver and taker of soul, we announce that 14 pilgrims from Nigeria died at the holy cities of Medina and Mekkah.”

‘I’m a footballer not a bartender’, Joseph Yobo denies owning night club

Nigerian footballer Joseph Yobo is not happy about the local reports that he has opened a night club.

Speaking with Turkish sports website HTSPOR.com, Yobo says although he doesn’t own a club, his brother once did and it was closed some years back.

‘In Nigeria, some newspapers wrote that I am operating a night club. . I’m a football player. I’m not a bartender or the publican who runs a nightclub’, Yobo is quoted as saying.

I have restrained myself for a couple of years from commenting on Tonto Dike’s career after my last comments about her role in the soft porn movie she acted in two years back, were badly taken by her and she went on twitter to hurl infantile insults on my person with expletives and uncomplimentary remarks. My reaction to such then was just a dignified silence. After all, I had already spoken on her stunted talent as an up and coming actress and further comments on her incensed tweets were unnecessary. She seems to have joined the actors of her ilk who have the moonlighting itch to delve into singing. While no one can stop such an ambition by those artistes, I do think those who surround such artistes are their worst enemies .

Tributes at service of songs for slain Ugochukwu Ozuah

Ozuah’s sister, Uju Ifet; his widow, Joan; and deceased’s sister, Uzo Nwogu.

Tears and tributes flowed freely at King’s College, Lagos, on Wednesday as family and friends held a memorial service in honour of Ugochukwu Ozuah, a 36-year-old engineer who was allegedly killed by policemen five days after his wedding.

Ozuah, who graduated from King’s College in 1993, was once the Sports prefect of the school. Some of those present at the event were; members of the King’s College Old Boy’s Association, ex-colleagues of the deceased at University of Ado Ekiti and University of Lagos, where he was pursuing a Master’s degree in Operational Research; as well as the principal and current students of the college.

Ozuah’s Chelsea Football Club jersey, inscribed with the word, ‘Hugo 10’ was seen hanging from the ceiling of the auditorium while many wore a black T-shirt displaying the deceased’s picture.

The three sisters of the deceased, who read tributes, described their brother as a loving and kind person who was always willing to help those in need.

WOW - British engineers produce amazing 'petrol from air' technology

A small company in the north of England has developed the “air capture” technology to create synthetic petrol using only air and electricity. Experts last night hailed the astonishing breakthrough as a potential “game-changer” in the battle against climate change and a saviour for the world’s energy crisis.

The technology, presented to a London engineering conference this week, removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The “petrol from air” technology involves taking sodium hydroxide and mixing it with carbon dioxide before "electrolysing" the sodium carbonate that it produces to form pure carbon dioxide. Hydrogen is then produced by electrolysing water vapour captured with a dehumidifier.

The company, Air Fuel Syndication, then uses the carbon dioxide and hydrogen to produce methanol which in turn is passed through a gasoline fuel reactor, creating petrol.
Company officials say they had produced five litres of petrol in less than three months from a small refinery in Stockton-on-Tees, Teesside.
