The EME crew are back with a new video, off their “Empire Mates State of Mind”, for Skales‘ “Komole”. It was shot entirely in Washington D.C, while the EME Crew was on their US Tour in the Summer of 2012.
The video was directed by 1st Impressions, and the song was produced by Sarz.

EXCLUSIVE: Rapper Eva dropped from Trybe Records
It official. ICS blogazine can authoritatively tell you that the contract between rapper Eva Alordiah and popular record label Trybe Records has been dissolved.
The news was made known by the management of Trybe Records in a statement exclusively released to NET. It reads:
‘Trybe Records and Eva Alordiah have
agreed to terminate her recording contract effective immediately. Trybe
Records’ vision is to discover and nurture the talents of our artists
while operating with purpose, valuing relationships with our partners
within the industry, and being persistent in creating and releasing
quality music. Unfortunately, over the past 5 months Eva’s vision has
not aligned with ours and thus, both parties have agreed to separate.
We wish Eva the best in her future
endeavors and plan on continuing towards our goal of creating quality
music for Nigeria and beyond‘.

“Go back to your village if you cannot obey new traffic laws” – Governor Fashola
Governor Babatunde Fashola has harsh words for Lagos residents who are not willing to abide by the state’s new traffic law: go back to your village and stay there.
However, if you chose to remain in Lagos, you must be ready to obey
the new traffic law and the existing environmental laws of the state to
ensure the state remains environmentally-friendly.
Fashola disclosed this on Tuesday after visiting some on-going projects sites.
He warned visitors and those interested in coming to live in Lagos
to keep abreast with the details of these laws so as not to break them.
Mr Fashola said the state government would not fold its arms while
some residents live in Lagos as if they are living in their villages.
He said, “You can’t continue to live like you are in your village
here in Lagos. Life in Lagos is changing by the day. The government has
spent fortune to ensure good environment, drainages, roads and
transportation system. It is unfortunate some people are still living as
if they are in their village.
“Please, if you can’t obey our environmental and traffic laws, stay back in your village.”

Burna Boy Aids Flood Relief Centres in Rivers State
Burna Boy, being a
Rivers state native, decided to make a visit to relief centres in his
home community, Mbiama in Ahoda West.LGA, Rivers State this past week.
The rising star gave aid to some of the 2
million people that were displaced by the recent floods by handing out
supplies, food, water, toiletries and let’s not forget, lift their
spirits as he thrilled the crowd by performing some of his songs.
Just like the lyrics of his hit single, “Tonight”, I guess Burna Boy‘s been “doing something right”.

Daddy Showkey has joined the line up of acts performing at the
Comedian Tee-A’s live concert on December, 1. The monstrously popular
ghetto star would be performing from his extensive catalogues his hits
from years ago.
This would be the first publicised gig, the erstwhile singer Daddy
Showkey would be performing since his enduring hiatus. The singer turned
businessman would be performing with a live band – a move to make up to
fans, indeed as he would be taking guests down memory lane with ‘Dyna’
and his other number one hits.
‘We’re putting the best together, to make sure guests enjoy a fantastic concert experience’ says event host, Tee A.
Also headlining the events are D’Banj, Ice Prince, Sammie Okposo,
Lynxxx, Madam Princess and MC Abbey. Other performers would be announced
next week.
Tragedy: SAD: PHD holder lived and died on refuse dump in Lagos
It is indeed tragic that such could happen in this country. What exactly happened to Dr. Olawunmi Thorpe, an Ogun State indigene, who died a homeless man, may never be known.
To passersby and residents, who saw Thorpe everyday in the rubbish
dump beside the rail line at Fagba Bus Stop in Ifako-Ijaiye Local
Government Area of Lagos State, he was a deranged man. But what many
people did not know was that…
Thorpe had a Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Mass Communication and a
PhD in English Language. All these information came to light when the
Punch got information that the “mad man” who spoke impeccable English
had died about 5pm Wednesday last week.
It took two ‘good Samaritans’, Mr. Larry Happiday and Mr. Dele
Olawale, who had interest in Thorpe’s case before he died, to ensure
that his body did not rot on the same rubbish dump he used as home.

Konvict Music founder and star Senegalese singer, Akon was spotted
in Venice, Italy getting cuddly with his newest mystery girlfriend.
Akon was just recently in Lagos partying with Nigerian stars which
included Konvict Music ensigned Wizkid.
The star singer and his mystery chick, who rocked a pair of
studded-leopard Louboutin booties, took a long romantic ride beaming
with smiles. The trip was one stop the couple made before Akon’s concert
in Abu Dhabi. Though it is not clear how many wives/girlfriends/fiances
Akon has or has had, he recently declared paternity of two sons in
Georgia and disclosed marrying more than one wife over a year ago.
However, He gave his new love interest the 5-star treatment, tweeting
the pic (below) saying: ‘Relaxing in my luxurious hotel in Venice,
Italy.’
UNILAG Student Hospitalised After Outing With Facebook Friend
A 21-year-old student has been hospitalised, after she was allegedly pushed down from the third floor of a building in Lagos, following a disagreement with a man she met on the social network, Facebook.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Akabugu Nkiruka sustained
multiple injuries, including a pelvis fracture, and was undergoing
surgery at the General Hospital, Marina, Lagos, on Tuesday.
Nkiruka, a Linguistics student of the University of Lagos, told NAN
on her hospital bed that she met the young man through the social media,
barely a week before the November 1 incident.
She told NAN that the 26-year-old man (name withheld) last Wednesday
invited her to a night club in Apapa from where they ended up in his
family home at 1004 Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos.
She noted that the young man had earlier talked about sex on the
phone prior to the outing but she told him she was menstruating.

President Barack Obama has defeated Governor Mitt Romney
and won himself a second term Tuesday, November 6, 2012 after what has
been described as ‘a bitter and historically expensive race’.
Obama is reported to have beat Romney
after nabbing the crucial state of Ohio. It was however a tight race as
Republican candidate Mitt Romney brought on a fierce challenge. Obama
made a great head start with a 265 win in the states of Iowa and New
Hampshire, leaving Romney behind with a 191 votes.
Obama hit the electoral point of 274 with Romney at 201,
automatically making him the elected president. Ohio has a great history
for Republicans as no republican president has ever won presidency
without winning ohio.
Romney also failed to win in Wisconsin and Florida regarded as battle
states showing that democrats were more preferred. Significantly,
Romney lost even in his home state of Massachusetts.
‘We’re all in this together. That’s how we campaigned, and that’s who we are. Thank you. This happened because of you. Thank you’, Obama thanked those who voted via micro-blogging site Twitter.

After Raping Her, Rapist Demands N5m With Tape Evidence
The police in Gwarinpa area of Abuja, are investigating the case of a middle-aged woman who was allegedly abducted, raped and asked to pay N5 million. On Monday, the woman who resides in Gwarinpa told the police her ordeal.
The lady said she boarded a taxi from Gwarinpa to Wuse, when “the driver sprayed air freshener in the cab.”
She woke up in an uncompleted building naked and messed up. I
received an envelope the next day containing a video disk showing how I
was raped.
The envelope also contained a demand for me to pay N5 million into an account in one of the new generation banks,’’ she added.
A police source confirmed that they had received the report of the
crime. Investigation into the matter is still on, the source said.

Jose Mourinho watched his Real Madrid side draw 2-2 at home with
Borussia Dortmund, the 49-year-old said if they qualify from the group
in second place, it will not be a problem for them.
Rather, the Portuguese said the teams that finish in first place will be in an uncomfortable position.
Dortmund currently tops the group, after winning at home two weeks ago.
“If we qualify, if this is the most difficult group and we end up
second, then, that’s a problem for the other teams that end up first in
their groups,” Mourinho told reporters after the game. “The two times
that I’ve won the Champions League my team ended the group stage in
second place.
“There is no drama here. We played a great game versus Manchester City and today it’s been another great game.
“We made two big defensive mistakes, you can’t do that against a big team, they will kill you.

The okada man allegedly shot by policemen yesterday has died
Just
got word that the Okada man who was allegedly shot this yesterday by
police men at Ilupeju Byepass in Ilupeju has died.
The Okada guy was trying to escape arrest from police men who were chasing him when one of them shot him in the chest. After the shooting, the policemen entered their van and sped off. Passersby then
rushed the young man to a hospital where he later died! Nigerian police, why?
