“I don’t regret leaving Chelsea” – Didier Drogba

Shenhua Shanghai striker, Didier Drogba, has insisted that he has no regrets leaving Chelsea in the summer. Although there have been reports linking the Ivorian with a move back to Europe, because of financial problems with the Chinese club, he insists that he is very happy to stay.
“I hope more because I’m really happy here. I miss the Premier League because it’s the best league in the world, but really I don’t regret my choice,” he told BBC Sport.
“I just arrived like two months ago so I’m really happy. I am, I’m really happy here so I have no reasons to leave. I don’t want to leave here.”
Drogba has already scored five times for his new team, which he joined in the middle of the Super League season. And he is looking forward to lifting a trophy with the club.
“I want to stay here, as long as I can win some trophies with my team and make our fans very happy,” added Drogba.
“It’s difficult at the moment, but I know that there’s hope and I believe.”

Kanye West “practically in tears” after sex tape with Kim Kardashian look-alike is put up for sale

She shot to fame thanks to the now infamous sex tape she made with ex-boyfriend Ray J in 2007. And it could be that Kim Kardashian has more in common with her current beau Kanye West than she initially thought, as it has been claimed the rapper has starred in his very own intimate video.
The nearly 20-minute-long recording is believed to have been shot with an unidentified female who is a ‘dead ringer’ for Kim herself, RadarOnline.com reports.
Filmed in what appears to be a hotel room, the married woman reportedly confirms at the start of the tape that she’s over the age of 18 and fully consenting.
She adds: ‘My husband and I don’t have sex anymore… that’s why I’m here!’
According to the US gossip site, the mystery woman is a Kim lookalike with a curvaceous figure and long dark hair.
Radar maintains to have seen the steamy tape in full and claim they can verify ‘without a doubt’ that it is the 35-year-old rapper in the video.
Throughout the romp, the pair allegedly don’t kiss or interact in any way apart from trying out various positions.

Corpse without head, limbs, discovered in Ibadan

Residents of Idi-Osan, Amuloko, in Akanran area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, have been living in fear following the discovery of the body of a man without a head and arms in the area at 5 p.m. last Wednesday.

The body was dumped at the bank of a stream in the area by unknown assailants. It was learnt that two landlords in the area reported the matter to the police at the Akanran Police Station.
Police were said to have moved it to a morgue at the Adeoyo State Hospital, Ring Road, Ibadan, for further investigation.The police have reportedly arrested two night guards.
A police source said in confidence that the night guards might have seen those who dumped the body. The deceased is said to be about 24 years old.
The residents are afraid that the police would arrest more suspects among them.
The state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is handling the matter.
But the acting police spokesman, Daniel Oboyi, could not confirm the story last night.
The police officer said he was yet to be briefed because he just returned from an official trip.

…As CBN stops controversial currency restructuring The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has finally halted its plan to introduce N5000 currency note in the country. The CBN decision came on the heels of the agreement reached between the leadership of the National Assembly and President Goodluck Jonathan at a meeting held in Abuja, as reported in the Daily Sun edition of yesterday.
President Jonathan had agreed with the resolution of both chambers of the National Assembly to put the controversial currency restructuring on hold, saying the approval given for it could be reversed, if it was the wish of Nigerians.
The CBN, in a statement last night, announced it was stopping the exercise in compliance with a presidential directive. In a statement signed by its Director of Corporate Communications, Ugo Okoroafor, the apex bank said: “For the purposes of more efficient payments and currency management systems, the CBN proposed and obtained the approval of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, to embark on the currency restructuring exercise, codenamed “Project CURE’ on December 19, 2011.

After his most recent game with his club Chelsea against Juventus, the midfielder was attacked on Twitter for ‘costing’ his team the game.

The game ended in a 2-2 draw but Chelsea fans blamed the 25-year-old for giving the ball away just ten minutes before time. After much pressure, the Super Eagles player deleted his account.

50-year-old grandfather bags jail term for stealing carton of Milo beverage

It was a terrible Thursday morning for a 50-year-old man  who was docked by an Ojo Magistrates’ court for stealing a carton of milo valued N8, 000.

James Akpan, a messenger at the Balogun plaza, Trade Fair Complex Lagos, had pleaded guilty before the court, to a charge of stealing.

The Magistrate, Mr T.O Shomade convicted the accused of the offence following his plea.

“The accused had pleaded guilty before this honourable court and is hereby convicted as charged” Shomade pronounced.

 Akpan was however given an opportunity by the Magistrate, to plead for a mitigation of his sentence.

“I was sent by one Uche to remove the Milo from the park where it was been off loaded.
