The Love You Like A Love Song singer, 20, who dumped the Canadian popstar last week because she felt she couldn’t trust him, has reportedly agreed to meet him in Brooklyn ahead of his concert tomorrow night to discuss whether they have a future together.
“It’s not just over for Justin and Selena, whatever happens they have a lot to talk about,” a source told the MailOnline.
“Their schedules have been packed but Selena has made tentative plans to see Justin in New York before his Brooklyn concert, she hasn’t decided if she’ll attend yet, but she’s keen to talk… and so is he.
“They’re both being a bit cagey and stubborn, but they’re desperate to see one another.
“This isn’t new for them, they often have a tumultuous relationship. We all expect them to work it out.”
Pop superstar Justin, 18, who is said to be planning to do everything he can to win Selena back, confirmed he is not certain about the current status of his relationship.
He told US radio show Open House Party over the weekend: “I don’t know what to say. I don’t know what’s going on in my life.
“To even assess that it doesn’t make sense ’cause I have not made any comment.”
It came after he performed an emotional a capella rendition of Justin Timberlake’s Cry Me A River on stage in Boston.
But a source close to Justin revealed that he isn’t upset because he thinks their break-up is simply a minor blip as they have split up numerous times in the past and gotten back together.
The source also dismissed rumours Justin has already moved on with Hungarian model Barbara Palvin, 19, despite Selena posting a picture of him with the model on her twitter.
The pair – who met when Justin performed at the Victoria’s Secret show in the New York City on Wednesday – enjoyed a trip to see the Lion King on Broadway on Thursday but insiders insist that Justin is not romancing her or anyone else.
Friends of the couple previously revealed that trust was a major factor in their break-up.
One insider said: “With them being apart so much it got complicated. She had some trust issues. It’s not easy, but the relationship needed to end.”
