‘Why I don’t star in my brother’s films’ – Aremu Afolayan





Much has been said about the three talented Afolayan brothers in the Nigerian movie industry…
While the eldest brother Kunle Afolayan, an actor, director and producer has scored high with award winning movies like 2009 thriller The Figurine and drama-comedy Phone Swap, the youngest Gabriel is also touted as one of those who will take Nollywood to future heights.
That leaves us with Aremu – who seems to be a mixture of his younger and elder brothers. The actor and movie producer recently got chatting with Hitz on TV about his ‘rough beginnings’, his reason for not pursuing a university degree, selling pepper soup for his mum up until 2011 and why he doesn’t feature in his brother’s (Kunle) movies.
