Comparing the rate of crime in Nigeria
with that of New York City in the United States of America, we would see
that ours is too low. This shows that we are not so much fond of crime.
Therefore, what Nigerians really need are job opportunities. Because,
come to think of it, it is poverty, hunger and idleness that push some
of these hoodlums to commit crime in Nigeria. So, I’m imploring all
those stakeholders calling for creation of state police to create jobs
for their people because an idle hand is the devil’s workshop.
