A Boko Haram suspect was, yesterday, killed in Maiduguri, Borno State
capital, when a bomb connected to a wheel barrow got exploded at Ramat
Square along West End road.
The Spokesman to the Joint Task Force, Lt.-Col. Sagir Musa who confirmed the incident said: “There was an Improvised Explosive Device, IED, explosion today (yesterday) at West End, Ramat Square General Area of Maiduguri metropolis.
“The device was concealed in a wheel barrow by suspected Boko Haram sect member and it exploded at about 8.35am. The owner of the wheel barrow was killed instantly, while attempting to escape.”
Musa further avowed that only one person, the bomber died at the process, as the place had been condoned off by the men of the JTF and the anti-bomb squared.

of Chicago, North Caroline, Pennsylvania, Cornell and 4 other

a move aimed at salvaging the reform and privatisation programme of the
power sector, President Goodluck Jonathan Tuesday in Abuja accepted the
resignation of one of the key members of his cabinet, Professor Bart
Nnaji as Minister of Power, with immediate effect.
The president was said to have decided to accept the resignation, following Nnaji’s admission that companies linked to him had submitted bids for one of the successor companies created from the unbundling of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN).
