West Africa’s most popular and well loved artist Ice Prince will play his first ever UK headline show on 4 October 2012 at the London O2 Islington academy to celebrate Nigeria’s 52nd Independence.
Earlier this summer the rapper wowed fans with his
set at the BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weekend joining a stellar line up of
artists including Jay-Z, Rihanna, Kanye West, Florence & The
Machine; Kasabian and fellow Afrobeat artist D’Banj in entertaining a
mass audience. He returns back to London to entertain fans once again
with his authentic sounds.
Ice Prince recently released his singles Aboki and More which trended for over five hours on twitter in Nigeria on the same day. Staying true to his musicality; fans were treated to his rich, cultural and contemporary sounds reminiscent of his native Africa.
Also performing on the night is UK Afrobeats star Mista Silva, popularly known for his single BOOMBOOMTAH. With no doubt, old and new fans will be in for a treat on the 4 October 2012.
