Dana Air has resumed operations today, Friday, January 4, 2012 making their first flight from Lagos to Abuja, since the tragic June 3, 2012 air crash.

As reported earlier, the Dana Air Corporate Communications Manager, Tony Usidamen had explained that a few journalists, celebrities and political figures would be among the first set of passengers.

Dana kept their word, flying the likes of comedians Basketmouth and Buchi as well as singers DIPP and Harrysong from Lagos to Abuja

Randy Atkins was on hand to capture the moment his wife Alicia gave birth last October, but had no idea the images for his family photo album would become so famous.

During his wife’s C-section, he was called over by the doctor as baby Nevaeh Atkins made her debut into the world by literally grabbing hold of the doctor’s fingers.

Recalling the moment, he revealed: “The doctor called me over and said, ‘Hey, she’s grabbing my finger.

“So I ran over there and just grabbed the shot and I was just in awe looking at it. It was such an amazing picture.”

Helen Paul delves into bridal wear sales

Nigerian Comedienne, Helen Paul, has become the latest Nigerian entertainer to delve into another business venture as she has floats, Massive Bridals, a bridal boutique located in Lagos.

On the reason behind the venture, Paul says, “I have anchored many weddings as an MC. At times, I get disappointed because some brides wear gowns that are not befitting. On the other hand, when I see those with good gowns, I pass complimentary messages to them. Basically, the decision to float Massive Bridals was a result of my passion to see brides glow on their wedding day.”

The Edo State-born entertainer, who played the lead character in Elvis Chuk’s latest film, A Wish, also hinted that she plans to open other outlets of the boutique.

“As an entertainer, it is not advisable to put all your eggs in one basket because the industry is quite unpredictable. In a few years to come, I’m optimistic that people will salute the entrepreneurial skills in me,” she adds.
