Lagos bans LASTMA officials from driving impounded vehicles

The Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Kayode Opeifa, on Tuesday said that officials of the State Traffic Management Authority had no right to drive impounded vehicles.
Opeifa made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
“It is unlawful for LASTMA official to drive vehicles that contravened the law, except the arrested motorist resisted arrest or has no driver’s licence, which is the only guarantee for any driver to be on the road.
“We have been hearing reports of our men driving arrested vehicles. However, in the course of driving the vehicle, if there is an accident, the officer involved will be held responsible.
“My advice is that when a vehicle is arrested, the offender should cooperate by coming to Alausa to redress the issue, which at times, after scrutiny, the offender may be allowed to go without any punishment,” he said.

Man impersonating Deputy Commissioner of Police arrested with charms in Abeokuta

On Monday Sept 24, 2012, security officials arrested a fake deputy commissioner of police in Ogun State Governor’s office in Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.
The fake police officer identified as Mr T.A Banjo at the time of his arrest was found in possession of charms.
He was nabbed while himself and 2 other people were trying to find their way to the office of the Secretary to the State Government, Mr.Taiwo Adeoluwa located within the same premises.
Suspicious of the way the suspects were moving within the Governor’s Office Complex, vigilant security operatives had promptly arrested them.
When interrogated by security operatives, Banjo reportedly claimed that three of them were on a visit to the governor’s office to see the Secretary to the State Government, Adeoluwa.

Back to square one: May-D sets up his own record label, Confam Entertainment

After months of silence, former Squareville act May D has resurfaced and has addressed the rumours of the label he is going to sign to. According to Hip Hop World Magazine, May D has taken the bold step of floating his own label. According to the site “May D, has floated his own record label. The artiste, who is known for his hit single, Ile Ijo, is to have started his label called “Confam Entertainment”.
He revealed this to us in a telephone interview and when asked if there is anybody else signed under the record label, he said “It’s just me now, I have some girl from UK but I’m still watching”.
The news story also went on to say that the singer is also set to release a video which was shot in Atlanta, to his song titled “Gat Me High” of his yet to be titled debut album.

Wizkid and Manager Osagie Part Ways

Ayo Balogun popularly known as Wizkid and his manager Osagie Osarenkhue of M.et.al have parted ways and ended their five year management relationship. According to sources, Osagie's deal with Wizkid ended 3 months ago and both parties have tried as much as possible to keep it away from the public.

However, the CEo of M.et.al wil continue to work with Skales, Niyola and Shaydee.

Osagie also manages Solidstar, Dammy Krane, Dee Money [Ghana].
