“I celebrate when I have to celebrate” – Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo put aside his “sadness” to score in the last minute, as Real Madrid came from behind twice to defeat Manchester City 3-2, in their first group game of this season’s Champions League.
And the Portuguese winger, who put up a much better performance on the night, was delighted with the result.

Former Senator, Bola Tinubu wants the Senate Scrapped – Do You Agree With Him?

The former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu has called for the scrapping of the upper arm of  legislature, the Senate. He said this yesterday at the 2012 Annual Conference and Awards ceremony organised by Leadership Newspapers.
According to the former Senator, the House of Representatives is better placed at representing the people since its members are closer to the grass roots.
He also added that the scrapping of the Senate would go a great deal in addressing the nation’s huge cost of governance and recurrent expenditure.
“We have kept complaining about the cost of governance and the recurrent expenditure, but we have never examined the structural problem of even the constitution that we are operating.
“Why do we need two Houses of the National Assembly,  whereas  the House of Representatives representing the smaller constituencies is enough in the same number of population.
“Why not get rid of the Senate for a slim and better legislative activity? Let us start examining that,” Channels TV  quoted him as saying.
What do you think of these words coming from a leader of the opposition party, Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and a former Senator? Do you agree with him that the Senate should be scrapped?

Meet The World’s Ugliest Woman

When she was in high school, Lizzie Velasquez was dubbed “The World’s Ugliest Woman” in an 8-second-long YouTube video. Born with a medical condition so rare that just two other people in the world are thought to have it, Velasquez has no adipose tissue and cannot create muscle, store energy, or gain weight. She has zero percent body fat and weighs just 60 pounds.

In the comments on YouTube, viewers called her “it” and “monster” and encouraged her to kill herself. Instead, Velasquez set four goals: To become a motivational speaker, to publish a book, to graduate college, and to build a family and a career for herself.

Create jobs first - I sincerely agree with you on this one, nice one

Comparing the rate of crime in Nigeria with that of New York City in the United States of America, we would see that ours is too low. This shows that we are not so much fond of crime. Therefore, what Nigerians really need are job opportunities. Because, come to think of it, it is poverty, hunger and idleness that push some of these hoodlums to commit crime in Nigeria. So, I’m imploring all those stakeholders calling for creation of state police to create jobs for their people because an idle hand is the devil’s workshop.
