"Okonjo-Iweala must go" —Protesters

The protest was under the auspices of Anti-Corruption Network led by former House of Representatives member, Dino Melaye and coincided with the time the minister was attending the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting. Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) also took part in the protest.

The demonstration seemed to have taken staff of the ministry by surprise as many of the staff members abandoned duties to watch the protesters who occupied the entrance to the ministry.

Some of the placards carried by the protesters read, “Economic policies would kill us,” “Ngozi Okojo-Iweala is an imperialist agent,” “Ngozi Okojo-Iweala must go,” “Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is our major problem,” “You can’t be saving money when Nigerians are suffering,” among others.

Hong Kong suffer worst loss since July

Hang Seng Index
Hong Kong shares suffered their worst loss since July 23 on Thursday, as investors took profits on recent outperformers and refocused their attention on the prospect of United States fiscal woes roiling financial markets.
Reuters reported that Thursday’s pullback came after US President Barack Obama’s successful re-election bid helped the Hang Seng Index near 2012 highs on Wednesday, with investors relieved that capital inflows from loose US monetary policy will continue.
The Hang Seng Index dived 2.4 per cent to 21,566.9, its worst single-day fall since July 23, reversing the benchmark’s strong start to November. The China Enterprises Index of the top Chinese listings in Hong Kong, which outperformed Asian peers in October, sank 2.7 per cent.

Davido not a threat –Wizkid

Wizkid
Although he chose to follow the music path, the artiste, whose real name is Ayo Balogun, does not underestimate the importance of education.
‘’I don’t regret stopping school for a bit because it did give me all the time to push and work on my music. I’m definitely going back to school. Education is very necessary and I hold it in high esteem.’’
Just three years down the line, the 22-year-old-singer who fathered his first child with a fan last year, constantly rakes millions of bucks from gigs, world tours and album sales. Sounding every bit prophetical, Wizkid confesses that he foresaw he was going to be a successful singer.
