EXCLUSIVE: Wizkid part ways with long time friend and manager, Osagie for Godwin Tom

EME on the Headies’ stage

We can authoritatively tell you, Wizkid is no longer managed by Osagie – who more or less groomed him before he got signed to EME following what a source says ‘several issues but was particularly ego‘. Wizkid ended his contract with the female manager who then took up the management of other EME artistes – Skales and Niyola on her M.etal management outfit. Source says there’s no bad blood between Wizzy and Osagie; and ‘managing other artistes/labelmate is not a compensation move by bosses at EME.’
Over three months after they parted ways, Wizkid just finalized a deal and hired Godwin Tom as his new manager.  Godwin Tom was seen with the star singer on the night of The Headies from the hotel room, rehearsals to the red carpet.
In other news, Wizkid has been announced as part of the line up of performers for the BBC Radio 1xtra Live alongside Trey Songz and Kendrick Lamar.

5 KILLED IN SOUTH AFRICA PRISON VAN BLAST

At least five prisoners were killed and several more injured when a bomb blew up a prison transport van in Johannesburg on Monday, South African police and rescue services said.

"There was an explosion on the vehicle," police brigadier Neville Malila told Talk Radio 702. "The explosive device that was used is still unknown."

He said two prisoners had been killed and 15 injured, but an emergency services worker later told Reuters that four prisoners had died at the scene and one had died en route to hospital.

Malila said the van had been transporting 36 prisoners to the Johannesburg Central Prison.
"It was an attempt to escape," Brig. Malila said. None of the prisoners succeeded in getting away, he said. At least one of the fleeing prisoners was shot and wounded by the police, he said.

Olisa Adibua refusing to play GT Da Guitarman’s music on Radio?

Guess who has fallen out with a former boss! None other than the Guitarman. The singer who might have been entitled to a feud  with former record label following what would best be described as shoveling his career for other acts signed to the imprint while he was with Storm Records finally hit at it. Taking to twitter days ago, The singer vented at former Storm Records’ executive (reportedly fallen out with Obi Asika) and present-Beat FM program director, Olisa Adibua over the lack of airplay for his music on Beat FM 99.9 Lagos. It does seem that after his exit from Storm, the singer’s music has never gotten rotated on the Lagos-based radio station.
Tweets from his timeline just before his recent Soularest concert read: “As ma radio presenter former boss no wan gree play my song for station wey no be him papa own..Grow up boss”, “My outlook on life is soo different now mehn..if u r God I can kiss ur a*s..if u r not, na kick to ur a*s o..”  he added.
